Hottie Robert Pattinson’s wet body graces the cover Australian tabloid New Weekly in its latest issue. The British actor was recently named the Sexiest Man In The World by a British magazine. Pattinson saw off competition from Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron. The NW story — ‘Kristen’s Breaking My Heart’ — seems to confirm recent reports Rob, 23, has split from his widely-rumored girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

Rob was reportedly dumped by Kristen, 19, when the pair reunited on July 23 at the Comic-Con convention in San Diego. Stewart has apparently rekindled her romance with her longtime boyfriend, actor Michael Angarano.

“Rob is stunned,” dished an insider. “He thought he could come back to California and get Kristen to forgive him, but he was wrong.

“Rob fought hard to steal her away from Michael. And now he has to do it all over again!”

So what Does Pattinson look for in a woman? “I like people being forward,” he recently told OK! magazine. “Gosh, I don’t know. I like strong people, chiseled abs… I don’t know, I take what I can get!”

And oh Renesmee: how quickly you have everyone wrapped around your finger. I think everyone there has different reasons to spoil that little child: from Rosalie, who probably thinks the baby is a reincarnation of the child she never had, to Edward, who’s just in awe, and Jacob, who didn’t hesitate a second when it came to imprinting. The little child will pretty much get anything she wants from anyone:

Opening presents is awkward business, so I can sympathize with Bella. It’s one of those things where you’re sitting on the floor, surrounded by things people have given you, and ripping off the wrapping paper like a beast to see what’s inside. Then what do you do? I never quite got that one down. I mean, of course you’re surprised and grateful, but then there comes the point where you really must be moving on, as there’s other gifts to attend to. Then there’s that whole part where 10-20 people are staring at you while you uncover this year’s spoils. For some reason, I always wished I never had to open my presents while the guests were still there, because I felt bad that I was getting all this cool stuff and all they got was some baked bread covered in icing.

However, I don’t think I would honestly care what any of them thought if I got a cottage for my birthday, complete with a garden, columns and ‘a few extra thousand square feet’. Oh, if only I had a few extra thousand square feet to throw around, you know, on a whim. I might fill those extra thousand square feet with a few Aston Martin Vanquishes.

I don’t know why, but from the description of Bella’s cottage I can’t help but imagine it somewhat akin to Jack Skellington’s house from Nightmare Before Christmas:

But of course, with thousands of feet more of room and less books about Christmas.

It still strikes me as a bit odd that everything seems to have worked out so perfectly for Bella. I mean, she’s got Edward and Jacob, and the awkwardness and hatred is gone, as well as the war and the feuding and pretty much every trouble she had before she became a vampire. Now she has a nice car and a cottage, and is surrounded by people who want nothing more than to take care of her children while she and Edward spend nice, lonnnng nights in their cottage.

It’s all like a fabulous dream for Bella now. But how long will it actually last? She’s got forever ahead of her, and things are never quite as perfect as they seem. Is there a war brewing that we don’t know about? Something has to be happening that could threaten this beautiful world that Bella has finally found herself in. I just hope she doesn’t get too comfortable there before it happens.

Not for long, you two lovebirds. Pretty soon Renesmee’s gonna get bigger, and stronger. If a vampire like Esme can build a house that fast, little Renesmee can sure as heck tear it right down again during her first Grand Tantrum. Baby vampire temper equals woe to that poor little cottage.

Like, Bella, I don’t have much need for a big closet, though for different reasons. My miniature, college-apartment-sized one is just right for me. Then again, almost all I have are plaids and jeans. Any time I imagine a big closet like Bella’s, I picture one of the most utterly horrific scenes in a certain sequel to a teen movie where the main character (whose name escapes me) discovers that her closet is… a mall!!! (this was either a movie or something in a Wal-Mart Hannah Montana advertisement… or perhaps both?).

But of course, what can you expect? You’ve got Alice in charge now, finally able to smother her sister-in-law with gifts and clothes. What I don’t understand is why we still haven’t gotten to Edward’s present. Mr E. Cullen, I want to see this car, if you don’t mind too terribly my interrupting your blissful wedded life…

I don’t really know what I would do if I was Charlie Swan, and some guy just started turning into a werewolf in front of me. I don’t even think I would have stayed around long enough to see Jacob change into a werewolf, as Jacob had to remove his clothes at some point before transforming. Awkward. But then you have this big scary wolf in front of you where a second ago there was your friend’s son. Does Charlie just stand there in awe? Does he get his shotgun out? Does he at least call his psychiatrist for a mental health examination? The poor man has probably just had a heart attack.

Of course, I don’t know exactly how far Jacob thought his plan out, and it would be just like him to think it’s a grand idea without figuring out all the consequences of his actions. Still, it might not be as bad as Bella and the Cullens think it is. After all, now that Charlie has had one huge fright, he might be relieved to find out that his daughter is only a vampire who has only just recently given birth to his vampire/human grandchild. To me, that seems to pale in comparison (pardon my pun) to the fact that Jacob can turn into a big wolf. If one of my friends tried to tell me this, it might go something like:

“FRIEND: Hey Alyx! Didst thou know I could turn into a SQUID?

ME:

For this reason I can’t even imagine being Charlie and driving down this long road to the Cullen’s house. What must be going through his mind? Does he think that Bella has gone insane? That’s a long drive, and it gives him a lot of quiet time to mull over what Jacob told him. Perhaps he thinks it was all a joke mixed with some horrible hallucinations. If I was Charlie I probably still wouldn’t believe what Jacob had said despite all the evidence, and might wonder what I was doing driving to these people’s house when it was all probably a big joke.

Question For The Comments: If one of your friends turning into a werewolf in front of you, how do you think you would react?

However, despite Charlie’s good intentions, I think what Renesmee needs least of all right now is another admiring servant. She already has the Cullens and Bella and Jacob and Leah and Seth waiting on her every whim — now she has a grandfather who’s attached and ready to do her bidding. Forget her ability to crush rocks: the fact that she’s not a bratty beast is shocking enough. I was wondering for a while if she would have difficulties since she appeared to be two years old but was only two weeks old, but thankfully since she seems to also be learning at a faster rate, she might actually be able to fit in with their semi-society. This brings up an interesting question: since Renesmee is a vampire-human child, will she ever be able to associate with humans? I mean, both Bella and Edward were able to go to high school, and to have some sort of a life with others around them. Will Renesmee be forced to live alone with her parents, and not be out with others? I wonder also if since Jacob has imprinted on her, if she actually needs those other people, and won’t feel lonely being cut off from society as long as he is around. The arm-wrestling match proves in a way just how powerful the new Bella is. She goes from being the weakest of them all, and clumsy, and vastly uncoordinated, to being able to defeat the strongest vampire she has ever known. Seriously, she’s punching rocks and crumbling stones into powder with “the consistency remind[ing her] of hard cheese.” It makes me feel sympathies for the surrounding boulders.

It’s nice that after all of the pain and the problems that Bella has had to go through for the past couple years, to see her finally getting to have a little bit of happy, family life: “Happiness was the main component in my life now, the dominant pattern in the tapestry.” But even as all this happiness seems to be taking over Bella’s life, the entrance of a new vampire puts a great, dark streak across it. When Irina appears, immediately the thoughts of the other vampires return: there are others who will not be so pleased with Renesmee and Jacob, much less Bella. I keep wondering how the Volturi will actually react when they discover this news. Is Renesmee really that much of a threat to them? If the Cullens can stay hidden for so long, I don’t see why they couldn’t hide Renesmee just as easily.
